MANILA, Philippines — All operations at Sangley Airport in Cavite City were suspended on Thursday morning after a Philippine Navy (PN) helicopter crashed in the area, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
“All landing and take-off operations at Sangley Airport have been suspended, effective 10:18 AM today, due to a disabled military aircraft on the runway,” CAAP said in a short statement.

In a separate statement, the PN said Naval helicopter NH432 was “involved in an incident during its training and maintenance flight” at around 10:18 a.m.
Article continues after this advertisementHowever, the Navy did not specify what kind of incident occurred during the chopper’s flight.
“Emergency response teams, including fire and medical personnel, were immediately deployed to the scene,” it noted.
“No casualties were reported, and all personnel onboard, though with minor injuries, were conscious and safely transported to the 15th Strike Wing Hospital for medical evaluation,” it added.
